On this day, GI-TOC will host a three-part public webinar series bringing together policymakers, legal experts, environmental defenders, and civil society actors. The discussions will cover expert analysis of the latest developments in global plastic governance following the sixth round of negotiations, the background and potential of a new protocol to the UN Convention against Transnational Organized Crime (UNTOC), and community-led solutions from the Brazilian Amazon to combat environmental crime — highlighting the importance of these local efforts in the lead-up to COP30.
