Ioannis joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in April 2022 as an Analyst for the South Eastern Europe Observatory and supporting the Global Strategy against TOC.
Ioannis is a Greek national and holds an LL.B in Law from the University of Warwick (United Kingdom), and an Advanced LL.M cum laude in International Criminal Law from the University of Leiden (Netherlands). An area that particularly interests Ioannis, which also formed the core of his Masters thesis relates to National Security Whistleblower protections and the reasons surrounding the lack of an adequate system of protections both at the national and international level.
Ioannis is fluent in English and Greek, possesses limited working proficiency in German, and basic knowledge of Spanish.
