Diana is an Advocate of the Superior Courts of Zambia with six years of experience dedicated to the conservation of wildlife and the ecosystem. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the Zambia Open University and proceeded to enrol at the Zambia Institute of Legal Education for her bar exams. She was admitted to the Zambia Bar in 2018. In the same year, Diana joined the conservation space as a Legal Officer at Wildlife Crime Prevention (WCP Zambia).Diana has committed herself to modern law practices and creative problem-solving, becoming proficient in tracking sector changes and interpreting new legislation and policies. She has effectively applied her interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the wildlife conservation sector. This has been crucial in ensuring the effective prosecution of environmental crimes and the capacity building of law enforcement personnel.Diana has been instrumental in WCP Zambia’s collaboration with the Department of National Parks and Wildlife and the National Prosecution Authority to provide the courts with information about the impact of poaching and illegal wildlife trade through the presentation of victim impact statements.
