Ana Paula joined the Global Initiative Against Transnational Organized Crime in March 2020. She is currently an analyst working in the Faces of Assassination project and supporting the Resilience Fund with research particularly in disappearances.
Ana Paula holds an LL.M cum laude in International Law with concentration in the protection of the individual (International Human Rights Law, International Humanitarian Law, International Criminal Law and the Movement of People Across Borders) by the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva. She also holds an LL.M in Public Law and an MBA in International Relations by Fundação Getúlio Vargas in Rio de Janeiro. Ana Paula holds a Bachelor degree magna cum laude in Legal and Social Sciences by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. She is a qualified lawyer, having practised at a law firm focusing on public law litigation over four years. Her past experiences also included assisting NGOs based in Rio de Janeiro and Geneva.
Ana Paula is fluent in English and Portuguese, possesses limited working proficiency in Spanish and French and basic knowledge of German.
